After finishing third last year, Sunset Custom Interiors came up a game short and finished second in the 2006 post-season tournament. After dropping out of the winners' bracket, we fought our way through to force a deciding game.
Perhaps we would have pulled it out, if our #1 fan had been wearing the uniform of a better team.
Still, we ended up with this fabulous trophy. For anyone who would like to see it in person, it will be on display throughout the fall and winter in the Frederick Coed Softball Wing of Jamaica Joe's in Urbana, Maryland. Visiting hours are Friday and Saturday nights from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM. At closing time, you don't have to go home, but you can't stay there.
From its humble beginnings, the team has progressed to the doorstep of a championship. We hope to capture the title game in 2007, but as player development is so important to the franchise, the next crop of superstars is already in the farm system. You should expect to see some of these players in the 2024 or 2025 seasons.
