It's no secret that I watch way too much TV. Just check out the to do list on my Tivo. So, I guess it's not surprising that we don't exactly follow the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics that children under 2 not watch any TV.A few months ago, we came across these guys -- The Backyardigans. Each episode features songs and dances from a different musical genre (and a snack)! I'm particularly fond of Samurai Pie and The Yeti (among others). I started putting on an episode after I picked up Colin from daycare so I could get a few things done around the house. They looked harmless enough.
Colin has become an addict. Now, when he wants to watch an episode, he'll hand you the remote and say "Paba" (the penguin's name is Pablo). Unfortunately, he wants to watch Paba ALL THE TIME. Yesterday, we were trying to watch football: "Paba. Paba. Paba." (The plus side is we are getting some quality snuggle time.) Anybody know a good 10-step program for toddlers?

I don't know if you guys have seen "Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie for Theaters." You might want to check it out (just not with Colin in the room).
I, too, am someone who manages to watch a good deal of TV despite having no free time.
I hope you had a great Thanksgiving

Just give him a few weeks, and he'll be asking to help you catch up on Lost, Heroes and BSG! lol.
